Featuring some of our hearing helpers

October

Over the past number of months, we have been having a number of hearing helpers. Here are 2 of our regular hearing helpers.

Above : Edward Boey (in the Sign with Me t-shrt), and Anne Tan. Here they are posing so candidly for the camera. Both are very pleasant to work with. Folks, if you are hearing and would like to help out at the booth, you need to be able to communicate in sign language.

Like this t-shirt? Come on over and get one. This is an empowering way of encouraging the public to learn sign language and create awareness.

Above : A young fan of the Deaf, sporting the Sign with Me t-shirt and eager to communicate. This young gentleman brought his savings to buy himself his very own copy of the Deaf Art Calendar and the t-shirt. Standing next to him is his brother (in yellow t-shirt) who also brought some of his own savings to buy both of the items.

Above : Guat Lay at work about to create on the spot, those paper craft multipurpose containers. Right : the finished products, most of which were sold.

Above : Lois posing for the camera with the recycled photo frame that Phoebe created. The frame she is holding is the last piece left and we’re going to miss this unique.
