You cannot miss the Mission booth. Our easles will be displayed with a poster about Sign Language Classes. A minimum of 50% of the payment will be required upon registration this Sunday. Official receipts will be issued.

We came to know of Joey when she sent us a note after
reading the coverage on the Deaf Art Calendar project and the Mission in the Star issue of October 2007. Joey has been unemployed for 3 years. The Mission engaged her help at its Deaf Art promotion. We were able to secure employment for Joey in data entry. We wish Joey the best in the future, and the Mission will continue to see how it can leverage her help and nurture her talents.

Here’s Venugopal Krishnan Kumar (”Venu”). A Graphic Artist by profession, we engaged Venu to help us our with the promotion and sales of the Deaf Art cards in the weekends of Apr 12/13, and Apr 19/20, 2008. He demonstrates a very pleasant demeanour, a positive attitude and has a great sense of humour.

Venu’s talent has been recognised and we have just engaged him into a team of Deaf Graphic Artists to help with the artwork and design of new Deaf Art material. Venu is also one of the leaders of the Buddhist Deaf community known as Dharma of the Deaf in Kuala. We are very happy to have him as part of the Mission team of Deaf talent.

Dear readers,

Please bear with us as we need a little more time to update the website with the latest updates. The new updates will feature more of our Deaf helpers, the recent Deaf Art Card promotion in which all the Deaf Art Cards were sold out. In addition to ourselves employing these Deaf individuals, we also managed to secure 3 of the Deaf helpers with full time employment through our networking with other employers. Stay tuned for further information.
