Dec 2006 & Jan 2007 - Sale of home made cookies

03

September

The promotion and sale of cookies was our first major short term project.dsc00238.JPG

The Mission helped Mary Josephine, a Deaf woman, to reap some earnings by encouraging her to utilise her baking skills. Mary was out of a job and without an income then. Through our networks, we promoted her talents. In connection with this project, the Mission also hired Deaf people to do home deliveries of these cookies, providing them an opportunity to earn allowances.

Seen here is a picture of Mary’s fine cookies. dsc00246.JPG

Well, we’re going to miss those cookies this year. Mary has moved on to other initiatives and we wish her the very best in her plans going forward.
