Although this is NOT one of our key areas of focus, we felt compelled to respond to the needs of some Deaf individuals. We believe that a good education and training and proper orientation will go a long way to empower Deaf individuals to be better equipped in their careers.

Through our network and connections with Quota International of Kuala Lumpur (”Quota”), we were able to collaborate with Quota to assist 3 Deaf persons to acquire scholarships for courses to enhance their career path/development. Pictured above towards the right - Jane Chen (middle standing), Linda Khor (in light purple blouse), and Angie Leong (seated - in red t-shirt).

If you would like more information about what Quota International does, go to www.quota.org. Quota focuses on women, children and the Deaf.

The Mission created a channel for some 10 Deaf individuals to make some extra income through a Food Sale and Carnival. The Project achieved more than just that cause. The Mission also created Deaf Awareness in this public event. We also contributed some of the earnings to the Montfort Boys Town for the educational needs of the boys and girls.

Wonder what the logo and colours signify? The logo is the heart of the Mission.

Blue means Mission.
Yellow means the brightness in the Deaf person’s life.
The 3-person image means developing Deaf people’s lives.
The sunrays in the background represent a better future with the friendship and support of the Mission. A little information on the logo designer (more…)
